ESTATE SKIPS POLICY

EMF  - PARKING RULES - CAR PERMIT - SKIPS - BROADBAND - SERVICES - CONSERVATION

At the Holly Lodge Estate AGM on 26 April 2012 it was agreed that a skips policy would be executed. The agreed policy will introduce a modest charge for skips located the on roads of the Holly Lodge Estate, and will be effective from June 1st 2012. Please click here Skip Licence Jun 2012.doc. to download a skip license.

 Rationale

1.Encourage plot-owners, their builders and other tradesmen to use skips judiciously for the minimum time necessary thereby minimising disruption to the Estate and the time parking spaces on Estate roads are occupied by skips.

2.Ensure that there are funds available for repair of verge, kerb and tarmac from damage caused by skips and their delivery/collection lorries that is incurred but not reported.

3.Be simple to administer.

Definitions

A skip is a standard builder’s skip with a maximum capacity of 8 cubic yards (6 cubic metres) length 12 feet (3.33 metres). Anything larger than this will need specific permissions from the Committee (as there may be issues for verge, kerb and tarmac) and may also imply a higher charge.

Charges

1 day : £15

1 week : £35

2 weeks : £70

3 weeks : £105

4 weeks : £140

To be booked in advance of skip delivery, and bookable in blocks of up to 4 weeks.

Administration

The Skips Policy will be administered by Maurice Laney and his team, and payment will be by cheque, payable to the The Holly Lodge Estate. The payment is to be from the plot-holder directly, and the contractors, building teams and skip-lorry-drivers will not be expected to be asked for payment.
